THE CAMDEN CRAWL
4th – 6th May
Now in its 11th Year, the original multi venue, urban festival returns, encompassing the best in music and the arts.  The festival has grown hugely over the years and aside from its famously impressive evening live music schedule, the festival now boasts an extensive arts festival throughout each day.  Cutting edge events will take place including comedy, storytelling and spoken word, unconventional theatre, craft, visual art and traditional music. It also features a variety of outdoor events, an alternative poster, print and record fair as well as interactive fun and games.  The line up includes Death In Vegas, The Futureheads, Gaz Coombes, The Raincoats, Admiral Fallow, Alpines, Baxter Drury, Charlie XCX, Chew Lips, D/R/U/G/S, Iceage, Willy Moon, Spector, Andrew Maxwell, Rufus Hound, Henning When, Andre Vincent, Hip Hop Shakespear, London Swing Dance Society, The Poster Roast, State Of Craft, DJ Abrantee’s Afrobeats, Nihal’s Bombay Bronx, The Nest Collective and many more to be announced.
LIVERPOOL SOUND CITY FESTIVAL
17th – 19th May
 
This hugely respected 3 day international music, media & technology conference and live arts and music festival returns for 2012.  The festival is focused on the zeitgeist and looking forward, intent on bringing the best new music, film, art and more from all over the world to Liverpool. The primary convention focus is on bringing together a vast array of creative and digital industries, business professionals, artists, music, film and art fans to enjoy today’s best new music and chart the future course of the music, digital and creative industries.  Sound City events will also take place in New York, Scandinavia and the Middle East in 2012.  Sound City will also host its first ever Expo and the UK Music Student Awards. Amongst the artists confirmed for this year are Professor Green, Death In Vegas, Mystery Jets, Kids In Glass Houses, White Denim, Ghostpoet, James Vincent, McMorrow, Alkaline Trio, Michael Kiwanuka, Django Django, Tim Hecker, Willy Mason The Temper Trap, Slow Club, Niki & The Dove, Toy and Forest Swords.
EVOLUTION FESTIVAL
3rd and 4th June
The North East biggest music event taking place over 2 days on the Quay Side, bringing the biggest music acts to perform in front of a rapturous young audience of 25,000 people per day. Headline acts are Dizzee Rascal and Deadma5 with support from artists including Maximo Park, Noah & The Whale, Rizzle Kicks, Miles Kane, Devlin, Band Of Skulls and Here We Go Magic plus Live DJ sets from DJ Fresh & SBTRKT amongst others.
LOVE SAVES THE DAY FESTIVAL

Love Saves The Day is a brand new greenfield festival in the heart of Bristol. Very much a Mecca for British music, ‘The Bristol Scene’ has a near legendary reputation for nurturing and promoting pioneering musical talent. The team behind Glastonbury Dance Village’s Wow! stage, last year’s incredible See No Evil and one half of the brains behind In:Motion amongst many other events have come together to put all these years of experience into what will be a celebration of all of it, a celebration of this city and all that makes it so great, but beyond that a celebration of music, parties, and good times.  The line-up for the even includes Annie Mac, Foreign Beggars, Mr Scruff, Joy Orbison, Roots Manuva, Ben UFO, Jamie Jones, Bonobo, Mary Jane Coles, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Eats Everything, Greg Wilson, Joker and many more.

LIVE FROM JODRELL BANK

The most unique setting for any live music event in the UK, Live From Jodrell Bank takes place at this outstanding scientific heritage site and observatory.  Marrying science and music and bringing the audience superlative sounds from earth and beyond, acts perform in the shadow of the Lovell telescope with their projections beamed onto this structure – the third biggest telescope in the world.  Last year’s inaugural show featured The Flaming Lips and British Sea Power.  2012 sees four shows taking place on weekends throughout the year, the first artists to confirm are Elbow who headline on the 23rd of June and Paul Weller who will headline on the 24th June. SOUNDWAVE CROATIA FESTIVAL

Europe’s finest boutique festival returns for its 4th year at its new stunning location of Tisno on the gorgeous Dalmatian coastline between Split and Zadar, and with its best line-up yet with the likes of De La Soul, Ghostpoet, Plaid, Submotion Orchestra, Fink, Dj Yoda, Teebs, Kutmah and over 10 UK music collectives showcasing their boundary pushing music styles alongside boat parties, private beaches, outside stages and nightclubs there are lots of local sights and beautiful scenery to take in. SHAKEDOWN FESTIVAL

The last festival of the season, Shakedown returns to Brighton for a second year bringing some of the most exciting names in contemporary music to the UK’s party capital.  Following on from a fantastic event in 2011 which saw 2manydj’s, Example, Ed Sheeran, Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out, Krafty Kuts and more descend on this iconic seaside town, the 2012 line up delivers the key players in dance music for the final party of the festival season.
