Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Mastodon bring more unadulterated rock to Roskilde Festival. Today’s 24 new additions to the line-up include Norwegian DJ sensation Kygo, enchanting folk pop from the Swedish sisters First Aid Kit and super producer and beat maker Jamie xx.
The new acts include former Oasis front man Noel Gallagher who is currently enjoying a string of sold-out European shows in the spring. He arrives at Roskilde Festival in July with his band High Flying Birds and a brand-new album, Chasing Yesterday – his first album release in four years.
Kings of progressive metal, Mastodon, have spent the last 15 years refining their increasingly impressive alloy of prog, stoner and classic metal. Following the success of their acclaimed album Once More ‘Round the Sun from 2014, the time has again come for a hard-hitting session at Roskilde Festival.
Swedish folk sisters First Aid Kit will enchant the audience with their dreamy folk-pop, and in the electronic part of the line-up the heavily courted Norwegian DJ and remix king Kygo will deliver nothing less of an ecstatic party, while super producer and beat maker Jamie xx from The xx flies solo and treats the audience with tastings from his debut solo album set for release later in 2015.
