Sehr enttäuscht sind die Veranstalter über die Riot Absage, nach Mark Reale`s Tod liegt die Band nun auf Eis und die Vermutung scheint sich zu bestätigen, dass sie nicht weitermachen – Tony Moore scheint bereits ausgestiegen zu sein.
Da ein reines Coverpackage in Bezug auf Riot für uns keinen Sinn macht haben wir uns um einen mindestens gleichwertigen Ersatz bemüht und können mit großer Freude vermelden dass Lizzy Borden erstmalig zum HOA kommen und uns mit einer fetten Headliner Show am Donnerstag einheizen werden – wer ihre spezielle Show kennt, weiß, welches Hightlight uns alle erwartet.

Die Nashville Thrasher INTRUDER haben für den Sommer kein Lineup und sagen ab . Die Show soll in einem späteren Jahr nachgeholt werden . Mit Warbringer ist aber feiner Ersatz am Start .

Dear Thomas,
It is with great regret that we have to inform you about RIOT cancelling Headbangers-Open-Air. With Marks unexpected death on 25th of January, the band has since been undecided of the near and also long term future. At the moment, the whole RIOT team is unsure, of what will happen, or when. We apologize to you and the fans, but we feel safer cancelling the headlining slot rather now than later. So you’d have an opportunity to find a replacement in time.
RIOT would like to apologize to all their fans in Germany and around, who wanted to see the classic Thundersteel line up: “We are truly sorry and we would love to tell you, we’d be there another time. But right now, we are not in a position to promise anything. We miss our beloved brother and we hope we will find a way to keep his music out there. We wish you a great festival. Also, we woulsd like Thomas to have a successful and great event and thank him for believing in us. Thank you all for your support!”
